We’re very excited to be here at Canada Light Expo. It’s our first time. We’ve been working on the show with the organizers too as a silver sponsor, and we’re very happy to be here.

We’re really pleased with the turnout. We’ve seen a nice cross-section of lighting designers, engineering specifiers, distributors and developer contacts, as well as installers and electrical contractors. We also participated in the conference session. We did a session today on exterior lighting and some of the innovations that are happening. Canada Light Expo meets the moment that we’re in. We need a show that can be here for people within Canada who either prefer to stay in Canada or don’t have permission to travel. We are a mature market and we deserve to have a great show like this available for Canadians. We’re all happy to see each other too. It’s a great business.

We’re here and honoured to be involved as an association partner to help bring credibility and a voice to the lighting design profession and help educate people on the importance of lighting design and having lighting designers involved with the project. It’s important for us to be involved as an association because we’re able to come and meet and connect with a number of industry friends and colleagues, as well as have the ability to continue our conversation and our education in our industry. The last few days have been amazing. The turnout has been fabulous. A lot of interesting conversations, a lot of interesting people, a lot of great topics and panel discussions have been happening. It’s an honour to be included and involved with a great show.

What’s really exciting about this event, and it’s really an important one for us, we wanted to premiere the worldwide first showing of the new DynaDrum. We’re really excited to introduce it right here in Canada. This is our first time doing this event. It’s actually been a terrific first go-around. Looking forward to being here many more times. Of course, we have an amazing presence in other places with OmniLumen, but interestingly enough, some of our other agencies across the country and specifiers have shown up, so it was really kind of cool to see some faces you don’t normally see in Toronto. It’s been a terrific experience thus far, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.
