As a returning client to Canada Light Expo, we did exhibit last year and we’re exhibiting this year. The exposure, at least from what I’ve seen in terms of vendors as well as people that are walking, is strong. What I like about this show is that it hits the target. While other trade shows just vaguely welcome many people in and you don’t get much traction, with this one every particular request seems to hit the target market. That’s why we like it and that’s why we totally recommend it for other vendors to participate in. I certainly cannot wait until next year to participate again. Unique, that’s all I could say.

Today the show was very well attended, and it was attended by the people that essentially are necessary to be coming to shows like this, engineers, lighting specifiers, lighting professionals, which is very important for these types of shows for us.

The process has been amazing. This partnership has been very, very collaborative. We’ve been working together to make this booth come to fruition and make sure that we showcase our product at the Canada Light Expo. The Canada Light Expo has been amazing, being able to connect with different architects, designers, and different lighting engineers. Today at this show this week, we wanted to highlight in our indoor portfolio part of the light control brand, a product that we call. Era. ERA is the product that we see here. It’s a linear product. It’s a contemporary looking plank. Open in the middle, 75% down, 25% up. Beautiful design, beautiful finish all the electronics are inside the Lumin Air. Mix it for a very practical installation, beautiful distribution. A lot of options for finishes. It does a great job from an architectural standpoint and effectiveness of lighting.

We’re very excited to be here at Canada Light Expo. It’s our first time. We’ve been working on the show with the organizers too as a silver sponsor, and we’re very happy to be here.

We’re really pleased with the turnout. We’ve seen a nice cross-section of lighting designers, engineering specifiers, distributors and developer contacts, as well as installers and electrical contractors. We also participated in the conference session. We did a session today on exterior lighting and some of the innovations that are happening. Canada Light Expo meets the moment that we’re in. We need a show that can be here for people within Canada who either prefer to stay in Canada or don’t have permission to travel. We are a mature market and we deserve to have a great show like this available for Canadians. We’re all happy to see each other too. It’s a great business.

We’re here and honoured to be involved as an association partner to help bring credibility and a voice to the lighting design profession and help educate people on the importance of lighting design and having lighting designers involved with the project. It’s important for us to be involved as an association because we’re able to come and meet and connect with a number of industry friends and colleagues, as well as have the ability to continue our conversation and our education in our industry. The last few days have been amazing. The turnout has been fabulous. A lot of interesting conversations, a lot of interesting people, a lot of great topics and panel discussions have been happening. It’s an honour to be included and involved with a great show.

What’s really exciting about this event, and it’s really an important one for us, we wanted to premiere the worldwide first showing of the new DynaDrum. We’re really excited to introduce it right here in Canada. This is our first time doing this event. It’s actually been a terrific first go-around. Looking forward to being here many more times. Of course, we have an amazing presence in other places with OmniLumen, but interestingly enough, some of our other agencies across the country and specifiers have shown up, so it was really kind of cool to see some faces you don’t normally see in Toronto. It’s been a terrific experience thus far, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.
